What an awesome day in God's presence this Sunday! Being Independence Day weekend, we of course were celebrating our freedom as a country which we are so grateful for. We had a Vietnam vet as well as an active Air Force member share as part of the message was powerful and really helped us to focus on that freedom that we can so easily take for granted.
Sunday, we also experienced a breakthrough in our worship. There was a freedom in praise & worship beyond what we've experienced before at C52. Especially in the first service when people were so tired from the long weekend of outreach in the community, people really pressed through as we cried out for freedom... a spiritual freedom. It was so powerful to watch, knowing where some people are coming from and seeing God really work in their lives as they worship. I'll never get tired of seeing God change people as they worship! When you see someone break free and really touch God in worship, it is not only an awesome experience for them, but it helps to change the atmosphere around them. It's contagious and we need more of it!
God is really doing something at Church52 so you better hang on. We're in for a ride and wherever God leads it, that's where we're headed!
