I had a thought today and decided to share it. Not that having a thought was a unique situation, but anyway... I have a number of friends that have tattooes. Some have a couple that are small and mostly hidden... some have many and in so many places that it is impossible to hide them all (no, I'm not talking about Kelly). I've always thought it was very cool how these friends have a story for their tattooes and they often times use those stories to share the Gospel with other people. The tattooes give them an opportunity to talk with people as they are asked about the tattoo, what it means, why did they get it, etc.

Do you know those phrases that are often said as a means of comfort or encouragement that don't seem very helpful when you're in the middle or your crisis? How about "Let go and let God"... while this is very true, it is sometimes easier said than done. Here's another... "God won't give you more than you can handle". YES, this is very true... Biblical in fact, but still when you're at the edge of your rope, it can be difficult to believe when you already feel like you are past the point of being able to handle what you are dealing with. Well, Kelly and I are coming out of the back side of a few months where the phrase "Delay doesn't mean denial" was often heard. I know this phrase is true... I've heard it a countless number of
times... I've even said it to other people! However, when you're in
the middle of that waiting period, it's a hard phrase to grab a hold of.

Recently, Pastor Perry did a whole sermon series called Navigator. He used the illustration of a car's navigation system, giving you directions while driving, helping you to get to your destination. Well, anyone that knows me very well probably is aware of my personal struggle with directions. It seems that if I have not driven somewhere at least 42 times, I can't tell you how to get there or drive there myself. My wife, Kelly, does not share this problem. If she went somewhere as a toddler, she can still tell you how to get there and drive there if needed... even if she hasn't been there for a long period of time. Yes, this is partially why you see Kelly driving most of the time instead of me. Our family is safer this way!

"Here in Your presence, all things are new; Here in Your presence, everything bows before You..."
These words come from the chorus of a worship song we've sung many times at C52. Recently, we were singing this and the words hit me a little different than usual. Yes, bowing is a form of worship and we understand that, but EVERYTHING bows before Him. Yes, the Bible talks about how even the rocks will cry out if we don't praise Him. Even beyond His creation bowing before Him... EVERYTHING bows before Him.
