Have you ever seen a sign or heard someone say something that is so obvious? Do you wonder why every time you get a drink that is steaming the cup reads "Caution... Hot". I see and hear these things all the time and wonder why someone would waste their time and money printing these obvious things?
In many ways witnessing and outreach falls in the same category. As Christians, we all know that there is a Heaven and hell and we don't want to see anyone not choose Heaven. So why is it so difficult to reach out to the lost? I believe we must first develop a heart for the lost!
We must develop a heart to love those in sin, to see their hurt and to see their pain, and to give them Hope. This is something that Jesus did well. Mathew 9:36 says "He felt great pity for the crowds that came, because their problems were so great and they didn't know where to go for help. They were like sheep without a shepherd." Do you know or ran into someone like that? Jesus makes it very OBVIOUS to us to Reach out, Develop a Heart for the Lost as He did. We must make the most out of every opportunity. Colossians 4:5 says: Be wise in the way you act with people who are unbelievers. Making the most out of every opportunity.
I am very excited about all the opportunities that we at Church 52 have had and many more to come, to Reach out to our community. Please pray with me that God will continue to develop our hearts for the lost!
