Nathan Gifford
Nathan & Kelly Gifford lead the worship and fine arts ministries of Church52. They have been in music ministry since 1997, serving mostly in Indiana but also Miami, FL in recent years. Nathan leads worship from his keyboard along with C52 Worship... the worship ministry team. Kelly is an active part as a vocalist, both background and occasional lead.
Nathan's background is mostly instrumental as he grew up playing the saxophone and piano. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Music with a BM in Music Performance on Saxophone, where he studied with Dr. Eugene Rousseau.
Nathan is an active songwriter and incorporates many of his original praise & worship songs into the worship services at Church52. He has lead two live worship CDs with C52, "Elevate" (2009) and "Let Your Name" (2012). He has recorded 7 other projects prior to being at C52, all live worship recordings except for one saxophone instrumental project. The more recent projects can be purchased and downloaded on ITunes, CDBaby.com, Amazon and many other sites. Nathan writes mostly praise & worship music, but also does music for productions as well as instrumental work.
Nathan & Kelly both believe that God lead them to be a part of this church plant in southeast Indianapolis, and have been a part since June 2007 (about one month after the public launch of the church). They are excited and honored to serve with Pastor Perry & Melissa and to have the opportunity to be a part of such a great work! They have 5 kids who also love Church52. Brittany lives in Virginia, where she and her husband serve as youth pastors. The other four - Sabrina, Kelsey, Kaitlyn and Johnathan - are active parts of the youth and children's ministries at C52.
The Giffords live in New Palestine where Nathan runs his own business from a home office and Kelly homeschools the kids!
